Chocolate Chip Cookies [Beginner- Friendly]

🍪 Easy Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe (For Beginners)

🧈 Ingredients:

1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened

1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
-
1 cup (220g) packed brown sugar
-
2 large eggs
-
2 tsp vanilla extract
-
3 cups (360g) all-purpose flour
-
1 tsp baking soda
-
½ tsp baking powder
-
1 tsp salt
-
2 cups (340g) semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat Oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cream the Butter & Sugars:
In a large bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes). -
Add Eggs & Vanilla:
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract. -
Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. -
Combine Wet & Dry:
Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until fully combined. -
Fold in Chocolate Chips:
Stir in the chocolate chips using a spatula or spoon. -
Scoop & Bake:
Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto your baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. -
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the centers are still soft.

Cool:
Let cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
